Dear friends and benefactors,
As the Jubilee Year of Hope draws to a close, let us do all that we can to keep our renewed hope alive and to press forward, revivified by it. Indeed, there can be no excess when it comes to the theological virtues! So, let us never let our hope subside, but carry it forward, always establishing it firmly in God and all that He has promised to us.
On our part, we are thankful for the many words of hope and encouragement we have received about our community over the past year. Most especially, we are thankful for the vote of confidence from the Holy See in our monastery’s contribution to the Church, ‘the vitality of this young community and the promise it holds for the future’. Please God, this breath of hope will also help us to fulfil a verse that we began the year with: ‘My God, bring a clean heart to birth within me; breathe new life, true life, into my being’ (Ps. 50). Yes, there is much to hope for!
Thus, as we approach the season of hope in Advent and Christmastide, we would like to invite you all prayerfully to consider offering a special gift in honour of the tremendous mystery which we are about celebrate and the abundant hope that we have in Him! Thank you all, and may God reward and bless you!
