St Michael Auxilium

What is the St Michael Auxilium

The Auxilium is a way for you to participate with us in our work of adoration and reparation. While the Benedictine Eucharistic Guild is the principle way that we intercede for you and your intentions, the Auxilium draws you into this work of prayer.

That is, since not everyone is able to come to the monastery, with the Auxilium, we invite you from wherever you are to pledge prayers and/or donate alms as a way of joining our ranks, or ‘enlisting’, in the battle against the enemy and in our work of reparation for our Holy Mother, the Church, Her priests, and all Her faithful. Moreover, every member of the Auxilium shares in the spiritual treasury of the whole.

How long do ‘enlistments’ last?

While we previously attached the enlistments to a given Triduum of adoration, beginning September 15, 2025, we have arranged enlistments so that they now last for a month. However, in keeping with the theme of the Triduum, each person who enlists in the Auxilium is to perform his or her acts of prayer during the “Triduum” of each week. That is, from Friday through Sunday, the enlister is to pray the prayers that he or she has signed up for each Friday through Sunday during the month of enlistment. For those who opt to give alms as their form of prayer, then the alms are to be given each week during the enlistment, and not several times each week.

Is there a Suggested Donation Amount or Pledge of Prayers?

The members of the Auxilium pledge certain prayers or contribute to the Auxilium through alms. The various options are described below in the enumeration of the Auxilium’s ‘Divisions’. For those who wish to pledge prayers, the three principle intentions for which the Auxilium prays is:

  1. For the Reparation and Triumph of Holy Mother Church and all Her members, especially priests and religious
  2. In Honour of the Feasts or for the intentions of the Saints that fall in the month of one’s enlistment.
  3. For the members of the St Michael Auxilium
